StewMac

Since 1968 Stewart-MacDonald has supplied tools, parts, and electronics to guitar techs and players. They are an innovative company that not only distributes parts but creates tools & parts to service guitars all across the world. They purchased a historic building in Athens, OH and did a complete renovation with BDT Architects. This newly renovated space is home to all internal departments from customer service, marketing, accounting, leadership, to warehousing where they receive, ship, and manage inventory. The original wood floors were restored and the historic brick walls were embraced and exposed. They work in an open work environment supported by a welcoming café for their staff of experienced luthiers to enjoy & refresh in. There are two large conference rooms to support their innovative initiatives to work together and collaborate on new ideas.

Our King team Refinished the gray floors back to their natural state and with furniture (some existing) enhancing their employee experience to provide an engaging open space for collaboration and teamwork. We did a Sand and Refinish off all hardwood flooring including patching in the damaged areas. We also refinished the Historic Elevator Cab walls and floors. For the lower-level shop, we did a Grind & Seal with an added Burnish to protect for future use.
